Greccio Housing strengthens housing stability by providing rent assistance during times of crisis. By preventing displacement and reducing stress, the organization helps residents recover, rebuild security, and move toward long-term stability and self-sufficiency within their communities.

CAR Foundation support (2023) strengthened Greccio Housing’s Eviction Prevention Program by providing timely rental assistance to residents facing sudden life crises. This funding helped households remain safely housed during moments when the risk of displacement was highest including periods of medical emergencies, job disruptions, and financial instability.

Through this investment, 17 households received up to three months of targeted rent assistance, utility support, and individualized case management. As a result, 100% of participating households remained stably housed at both 90 days and six months after enrollment, exceeding projected outcomes and demonstrating the effectiveness of pairing short-term financial relief with personalized guidance.

CAR Foundation support also delivered peace of mind to residents navigating deeply personal challenges. Individuals recovering from serious illness or sudden income loss were able to focus on healing, regaining employment stability, and caring for their families without the added stress of housing insecurity. By investing in prevention and dignity-centered solutions, the Foundation helped residents rebuild confidence, strengthen financial resilience, and move forward with renewed stability and hope.
