Habitat for Humanity of Vail Valley provides a path to a better life through safe, affordable homeownership. CAR Foundation support (2023) helped Habitat for Humanity of Vail Valley complete Phase 9 of construction at Stratton Flats in Gypsum, Colorado by funding residential appliances for six homes. This investment contributed to the successful completion of eight affordable homes, providing safe, stable housing for eight families and 24 individuals in a high-cost community.

Through this support, Habitat Vail Valley advanced its goal of increasing homebuilding capacity to meet workforce housing needs. Families moved from housing instability into permanent ownership, gaining not only safe homes but also the skills, confidence, and pride that come from building alongside volunteers and neighbors. These outcomes reinforced the powerful link between affordable homeownership and improved health, education, and family stability.

CAR Foundation support also helped foster lasting community connection and opportunity. Homeowners shared that stable housing allowed them to plan for the future, pursue education, and model perseverance for their children.
