Habitat for Humanity of the Roaring Fork Valley advances affordable housing in Glenwood Springs by preparing sites for future homeownership. Through essential utility installation and site preparation, the organization lays the groundwork for construction that will create lasting housing opportunities for working families in the Roaring Fork Valley.
CAR Foundation support (2024) advanced Habitat for Humanity of the Roaring Fork Valley’s Confluence development in Glenwood Springs by funding critical infrastructure work. This investment supported utility installation, site grading, and foundational preparation—essential early steps that moved a six-home affordable housing project from planning toward construction.
Through this funding, Habitat Roaring Fork Valley addressed one of the most challenging barriers in affordable housing development: infrastructure readiness. By covering excavation, underground utilities, and permitting, the grant ensured the site could safely and efficiently support future construction, laying the groundwork for permanently affordable homeownership for local working families.
CAR Foundation support created lasting impact by unlocking the next phase of progress at The Confluence. With infrastructure in place, modular homes are scheduled for installation and families are preparing to move into stable, affordable homes later this year. This investment demonstrates how strategic funding can transform early-stage development into real opportunities for community stability and long-term housing security.
