La Puente Home helps families overcome crises and restore stability through financial assistance and personalized case management. By reducing barriers to housing, employment, and education, the organization supports individuals as they rebuild security, strengthen connections, and move toward long-term stability within their community.

CAR Foundation support (2023) will strengthen La Puente Home’s Adelante Family Resource Center by sustaining its Permanent Supportive Housing Program in Colorado’s San Luis Valley. This investment will help provide safe, stable housing paired with intensive services for families experiencing homelessness or at high risk of losing housing in a region with limited resources.

With this funding, Adelante will continue delivering personalized case management, education services, employment assistance, and life-skills training to families living below the federal poverty level. A dedicated Family Advocate Specialist will guide households as they set goals, navigate complex systems, and build protective factors that strengthen parenting, resilience, and long-term housing stability.

CAR Foundation support will help address one of the highest per-capita rates of homelessness in Colorado by ensuring families can maintain housing and progress toward self-sufficiency. By investing in permanent supportive housing and coordinated regional services, the Foundation will help families heal from crisis, remain rooted in their communities, and move forward with dignity, stability, and renewed opportunity.
