Neighbor to Neighbor helps families transition from hotels to stable, dignified housing by pairing move-in and utility assistance with financial coaching and navigation. Through personalized support and connections to community resources, the organization helps households stabilize quickly and build pathways toward long-term housing security.

CAR Foundation support (2023) strengthened Neighbor to Neighbor’s Housing Solutions Program during a period of reduced pandemic-era assistance and rising housing costs. This investment helped stabilize households at immediate risk by funding move-in support and administering first month’s rent and deposit assistance, ensuring families could transition into safe, dignified housing.

Through this funding, Neighbor to Neighbor prevented hundreds of evictions and helped Larimer County households move from crisis to stability. Between July 2023 and April 2024, more than 1,000 households maintained their housing through coordinated rent, utility, and deposit assistance, paired with financial counseling that improved budgeting confidence for all participating families.

CAR Foundation support also reinforced a compassionate, navigation-driven model that centers dignity and persistence. Families who had been cycling through hotels were guided into permanent homes with comprehensive assistance and ongoing connection to resources. By investing in both immediate housing access and financial capability, the Foundation helped transform moments of instability into lasting housing security and renewed hope for families across the community.
