Our Front Porch helps disaster survivors navigate the ups and downs of recovery so they don’t have to go it alone. Through long-term guidance, coordination, and compassionate support, the organization walks alongside individuals and families as they rebuild stability, housing, and hope after disaster.

CAR Foundation support (2024) strengthened Our Front Porch’s Disaster Case Management program, ensuring fire survivors across Colorado received free, comprehensive recovery assistance. This investment funded housing navigation, insurance advocacy, and essential needs, helping prevent homelessness and financial instability in the critical aftermath of disaster.

Through this support, Our Front Porch served 840 individuals across 316 households, responding to large-scale disasters and providing hundreds of case management sessions. Survivors secured temporary housing, navigated complex insurance claims, accessed therapy referrals, and received basic necessities—reducing trauma while restoring a sense of safety, dignity, and direction during overwhelming circumstances.

CAR Foundation support amplified a model that pairs immediate relief with persistent, long-term advocacy. Families facing displacement, legal challenges, and rebuilding delays were not left to navigate recovery alone. By investing in trusted guidance and housing-focused disaster response, the Foundation helped transform moments of devastation into pathways toward stability, resilience, and renewed hope—demonstrating the profound impact of standing with survivors through every step of recovery.
