Partners In Housing supports families in achieving long-term stability through employment assistance, healthcare access, financial education, and housing support. Using a holistic, family-centered approach, the organization helps households overcome barriers, strengthen resilience, and move from crisis toward self-sufficiency and lasting housing stability.

CAR Foundation support (2023, 2025) strengthened Partners in Housing’s Family Self-Sufficiency Program, helping families with children move from housing crisis toward long-term stability and independence. Earlier funding reinforced a transitional housing model that paired safe, affordable housing with intensive case management, financial education, employment support, and family services, ensuring families paid no more than 30% of income toward housing while building skills for self-reliance.

That sustained investment generated significant outcomes. Partners in Housing served hundreds of individuals, with the majority of families transitioning to stable, long-term housing while increasing income, employment, and overall self-sufficiency. Families demonstrated measurable progress in education, employability, and confidence, and the program adapted effectively to rising operational demands, including unit turnover and maintenance, without compromising service delivery.

Building on these results, CAR Foundation support (2025) will allow Partners in Housing to deepen and scale impact by sustaining core Family Self-Sufficiency services and supporting personnel and housing costs essential to program delivery. Planned investments will strengthen pathways to stable housing, improved employment outcomes, and long-term resilience for families across El Paso County, reinforcing the Foundation’s role in advancing durable solutions to family homelessness in Colorado.
