Veterans Community Project supports residents before move-in with goal-setting, wraparound services, and personalized case management, fostering wellbeing, education, employment, and steady progress toward dignified, secure, long-term housing stability for veterans experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
CAR Foundation support (2023) will strengthen Veterans Community Project of Longmont’s Veteran Support Services, providing housing navigation, emergency assistance, and wraparound case management for Veterans experiencing or at risk of homelessness. This investment will help remove barriers before move-in and guide Veterans toward stable, dignified housing and long-term self-sufficiency.
With this funding, Veterans will receive individualized, trauma-informed support that includes financial counseling, employment assistance, VA systems navigation, and emergency aid to prevent housing loss. Case managers will work alongside Veterans to set goals, stabilize income, build financial skills, and address challenges related to disability, credit history, or gaps in employment while coordinating access to permanent housing options.
CAR Foundation support will reinforce a proven, Veteran-centered model that pairs immediate relief with long-term planning. By investing in comprehensive services before and during housing transitions, the Foundation will help Veterans achieve sustained stability, improve wellbeing, and regain independence. This partnership demonstrates how targeted housing and financial support can transform vulnerability into opportunity for those who have served their country.
