We Fortify helps young adults break the cycle of homelessness and generational poverty by combining affordable housing with trauma-informed care, life skills education, and career placement. Serving ages 18–25 in Colorado Springs, the organization creates supportive communities that foster independence, emotional well-being, and long-term economic stability. 

CAR Foundation support (2025) helped We Fortify move Prospect Village from planning toward construction, advancing a new community for young adults ages 18 to 25 facing housing insecurity in Colorado Springs. The Foundation’s $15,000 investment contributed to a major construction payment, helping turn plans for dignified housing into tangible progress.

Through this funding, Prospect Village will include 18 tiny homes supported by essential water, sewer, and electrical infrastructure, along with a central community hub. Once completed, residents will have access to stable housing, supportive services, life-skills programming, and opportunities to pursue education and employment while building greater independence.

CAR Foundation support (2025) provided critical momentum at an important stage of development. Although construction had not yet begun during the reporting period, the full grant contributed to the financial commitment necessary to move the project forward. This investment is helping create a community where young adults experiencing housing insecurity can find safety, belonging, and a foundation for a more secure future.
