We Fortify helps young adults break the cycle of homelessness and generational poverty by combining affordable housing with trauma-informed care, life skills education, and career placement. Serving ages 18–25 in Colorado Springs, the organization creates supportive communities that foster independence, emotional well-being, and long-term economic stability.

CAR Foundation support (2025) will strengthen We Fortify’s Working Fusion Village, a trauma-informed housing community designed to help young adults transition from homelessness into independence. Funding will enhance on-site programming that addresses mental health, life skills development, and career readiness for residents ages 18–25 in El Paso County.

This investment will allow We Fortify to deliver individualized assessments, empowerment planning, therapeutic services, and ongoing career support for residents living in affordable tiny homes. By pairing stable housing with consistent, relationship-based programming, the organization plans to address the underlying causes of housing instability while helping residents build financial resilience and social connectedness.

CAR Foundation support will deepen We Fortify’s impact by sustaining a proven model that helps young adults secure living-wage employment and transition successfully into independent housing. This approach promotes long-term stability, workforce participation, and healthier communities, reinforcing the Foundation’s commitment to safe, attainable housing solutions that create lasting change.
